A dear sister and devoted prayer warrior had been battling a terminal illness. Her husband was her caregiver. One morning, he came into her room to minister to her needs and she told him the date and time she would be departing the earth. When that date came her husband went into her room, he held her and she departed at the appointed time.

(3) The destiny and purpose for which we are born on to the Earth. Enoch was an example of walking with God (Genesis 4). Noah was a man that obeyed God and rescued humanity (Genesis 5). Abraham was the father of faith (Genesis 12). Samuel was prophet of God for the nation of Israel (1 Samuel 1-3). Moses was the deliverer of the Hebrew people from bondage (Exodus 1-3). Jesus atoned for the sins of mankind and restored us to the relationship with our Father-Creator as sons of God (Isaiah 9:6-7). Martin Luther was born in Germany in 1483 and became the father of the Reformation. Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta GA in 1929 and became a great civil rights leader.

When my wife, Margienell, was pregnant with our third blessing of a child, two weeks before his birth, our Heavenly Father spoke to me and said our son was to be born at home. I knew that my wonderful wife, who had birthed our two oldest children in the hospital, would think I had lost my mind if I were to share this "heavenly directive" with her. I responded to the Heavenly Father totally in agreement with His instructions and asked Him to inform her because she would indeed think I had lost my mind! Several days passed while I was praying and waiting, I stopped by to visit a sister that had been battling cancer. During the visit, she shared with me that she had had a dream, and in the dream, she saw our baby being born in our bedroom. I rushed home thinking that this was the way Elohiym was choosing to share His instructions. When I got home and shared with Margienell the news about our friend's dream, she surprised me with her response. She had also had a dream the same night and the Most High had also shown her that we were to have the baby at home! Elohiym had given the same dream to my wife and our friend confirming what His desire was for us. I proceeded to tell my wife that our Heavenly Father had spoken to me several days earlier and told me we were to have the child at home. Three days before his birth, there was a couple passing through the city from Reno, Nevada. We had not known them before but a friend had told them to call us once they arrived in Nashville. Their destination was Washington D.C. and they called and told us our friends had given them our number. We invited them to come by our home. As we were fellowshipping together the wife, Amanda, shared with us that she was a labor delivery nurse by profession. We understood that the Most High not only had instructed us to have the child at home but He had also sent Amanda, who was a labor and delivery nurse, to us right at the appointed time! They stayed until the baby was born on July 19th when our second son exited the birth canal and came into the world. My hands held him and I cut and clamped the umbilical cord, Elohiym’s presence filled the room and He said to name him "Israel".

Whenever a soul is born into the earth, the Lord assigns an angel to accompany that soul on its life journey because there will be times that we will need supernatural interventions in this natural world. Matthew 18:10 says, “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones for I say to you that in Heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in Heaven." Most of us know that Elohiym told Abraham that his seed would be as the sand of the sea and as the stars of the sky. Those stars represent angels. Elohiym was telling Abraham that I am going to give you seed in the earth and there will be angelic protection.

Psalms 91:11-12 says, “For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone”. Peter’s angel acted on his behalf in Acts 12:5-15, "Then the angel said to him, 'Gird yourself and tie on your sandals' and so he did. And he said to him, 'Put on your garment and follow me.' So he went out and followed him and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. And when Peter had come to himself, he said, 'Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.' So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered praying. And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a girl named Rhoda came to answer. When she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her gladness she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter stood before the gate. But they said to her, 'You are beside yourself!' Yet she kept insisting that it was so. So they said, 'It is his angel.'”

I was traveling in North Carolina when I was a regional sales manager; I had not slept well the night before and fell asleep at the wheel of my vehicle. I was about to cross a river bridge and I heard a car horn blowing, I was immediately awaken just in time to swerve and avoid going off into the river. I regained my composure, thanked the Lord for waking me and looked around to see what car had blown their horn. There was no car in sight, I looked down at the steering wheel and my hand was on the horn. The angel who was given charge over me had saved me from a tragic death!

Recently, a friend of ours called me in a distress situation. His 4-year-old autistic son had gotten out of the yard and they had searched and could not find him. They had called 911 and the police were combing the neighborhood going house to house. A helicopter was also searching the area. He called for prayer and we told him this was a time to commission the angel that was assigned to him to locate him and keep him safe until his parents and those that were looking for him could get to where he was. While on the phone, the angel was commissioned to find him and keep him safe. After commissioning his angel, we received a text message. He had been found behind some houses stuck in a swamp of mud up to his waist. We all rejoiced that he was found safe and sound!

I shared the above testimony with a young man who recently went on a mission trip to Nepal. While he was there, he received a distress call from a friend in New York that their daughter was missing. He remembered the testimony I had shared with him and asked a brother in the faith to join with him to commission the angel to protect and restore her to the family. Within an hour, he received the message she was also safe and restored.

Our son Isaiah played basketball for Motlow Community College which is about an hour south of Nashville. He would drive home when he had a free weekend. He was exhausted one weekend but wanted to get home to the family. He started out driving and made it to the interstate and fell asleep. When he woke up, his car was in our driveway! The angels had watched over him and brought him safely home!

Fathers and mothers, as the family of God on the earth, we have the authority to commission the angels. The angels are ministering spirits and they have been given to watch over us. Teach your family there is nothing to fear because our Heavenly Father "will never leave us or forsake us" (Hebrews 13:5). He has legions of His holy angels that are before Him waiting to be commissioned. Pray for the holy angels to be on watch around your family in these perilous days ahead.

EXHORTATION FOR PARENTS
When a child is born into the earth, there are stars set in the heavens, symbolic of the angel on watch over the child. When Yahusha (Jesus) was born, the wisemen said they had seen His star in the east. Matthew 2:2 says, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East.” Jasher 8:1-2 says, "At the birth of Abraham to his father Terach, 'When all the wise men went out from the house of Terach, they lifted up their eyes toward Heaven that night to look at the stars and they saw, and behold one very large star came from the East and ran in the heavens, and he swallowed up the four stars from the four sides of the heavens. And all the wise men of the king and his conjurors were astonished at the sight. And they said to each other, 'This only betokens the child that has been born to Terach this night, his son Abraham.'” When a child is born into the Earth, there will be a star appear in the heavens. That is why God said to Abraham in Genesis 22:17, “Blessing I will bless you and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the Heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies." The "sand" represents humanity in this natural world. The stars represent the angels placed on assignment in the spiritual world. Science can prove the universe is increasing but do not understand why. Every time a soul is born into the earth, an angel is placed on assignment, and the star is a message from the Heavenly Father, “I’ve got you covered!”

PARENTING GUIDE - FROM BIRTH THROUGH THE EARLY TODDLER YEARS, AGE 5

As was mentioned before, we were blessed with twelve pregnancies and from those pregnancies we were gifted with eight children, three daughters and five sons. Three were born in medical - institutions and five were born at home in their natural environment with me serving beside the midwife. Birth is a totally natural process, which was the original intent of our creator father, Yahuah-Elohiym. Since there was no pain in the original plans of Elohiym and creation, the birth process of a child was intended to be a joyous occasion. When man disobeyed his creator-father Elohiym, a curse was decreed upon the woman.
Genesis 3:16 says, “To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception. In pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.”
When we were expecting our fourth child, Margienell was huge, gloriously pregnant. When I inquired of Yahuah (Lord) why she was excessively large, His response was “double portion!” I was excited and told Margienell, we were probably going to have twins. It was 1989 and ultra - sounds were available; the creator-father had spoken ‘double portion’, and we were resolved. Having one delivery of our third born under my belt, I was looking forward to this fourth birth, and my second experience as a “midwife-husband.” When the contractions began and became more and more intense, I began to experience back pain as well as our friends who were assisting us. We realized that we were actually bearing some of the birth pains for my wife. We became aware that even though the contractions were increasing, her water (ambiotic fluid) had not broken. The Holy Spirit gave me the instructions to gently pierce the bag. I obeyed, after all Elohiym was the one who designed the body/temple. When I gently pierced the bag water shot out of the birth canal and this huge baby boy came sliding into my hands. After he came out, I looked at my wife, remembering what had been spoken by Yahuah (Lord), ‘double portion,’ I asked the question, is there another one in there? She laughed and said, “No, I believe that is it, with a big smile! We weighed him and he weighed 11 pounds and 12 ounces at birth. We rejoiced and thanked the Most High for this wonderful ‘double portion’. We were instructed to name him Isaiah. Today he stands at 6’ 8.5” tall, weighs 245 pounds, all muscle and loves Yahuah-Elohiym. (Margienell’s birth pain was minimal. When we went to the doctor after the birth, he was surprised that she did not have a tare, with a 15-inch head.

When a newborn arrives on earth, its’ body has been actively growing for nine months in its mother’s womb, becoming the son or daughter that it was destined to be. The first son of God, Adam, disobeyed his father creator when he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Centuries later the generations after him became corrupt, desolate, devoid of light. Offering their first born in ritual human sacrifices to pagan deities. They worshipped the creation; sun, moon, rivers, trees, animals, and abused their body/temple; lancing, marking, piercing, perversions, drinking blood, phallicism, witchcraft, sorcery and demonically possessed humans and animals. Elohiym repented that he had created man and made the decision to destroy mankind and all the living creatures. The fathers on earth had allowed Satan and his fallen angels to deceive their families causing them to corrupt the order that Elohiym had established. The fathers did not reverence or honor Elohiym there was no “fear of the lord.” The family here on earth had been infested with self-will and wickedness. The fathers had forsaken the care of the souls of their families. The thoughts and intents of the hearts of Adam’s progeny were continually evil. When Elohiym fashioned his son Adam’s body, he placed the souls of mankind in Adam, establishing him as the watchman and spiritual covering for the family. Adam’s failure to watch and obey would centuries later cause Elohiym’s judgement to come upon the earth in the form of a flood. In case you are not familiar with the biblical record of Noah, here is a brief history. Approximately 1,500 years after Elohiym created the Earth, making it a home for his family, Noah was born and became a father who obeyed Elohiym and followed the instructions of Elohiym. He was the great grandson of Enoch, who walked with Elohiym and was taken to heaven, never returning to the earth. His grandfather was Methuselah, who lived almost one thousand years. He lived 969 years (Genesis 5:26-27.) Methuselah honored and obeyed Elohiym and governed his family according to the instructions of his father Enoch. (Jasher 4:1-3) Methuselah’s son Lamech was the father of Noah. It was Methuselah who named his grandson Noah. (Jasher 4:14) In the book of Jasher, it records that Noah walked in the ways of his grandfather Methuselah, perfect and upright. Noah was given wisdom to build an ark and rescue the eight souls in his family: his wife, Na-amah, and three sons Shem, Japheth, Ham, and their wives. The only survivors after the flood would be Father Noah and his family. The souls of mankind were carried through the flood in the loins of Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham, Japheth. These men would be the progenitors of every soul that would be born into the family on earth. In the days of Noah, the environment on earth was a degenerate, dark, and desolate environment. Elohiym destroyed the entire family, of an estimated two million people who were all descendants of Adam.

COMING INTO THE NATURAL WORLD
Prior to conception, the child’s spirit has been in Elohiym before the foundations of the world, awaiting the appointed time of conception so the trichotomy of spirit, soul and body can be completed. Ephesians 1:4 says, “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love."
The spirit of every child born on to the earth has been in the eternal environment of Elohiym’s presence; until the appointed time of conception on earth. At the time of conception, the spirit of the child leaves the eternal environment of Elohiym and joins the egg fertilized by the sperm/seed of the father in the womb of its’ mother on earth.
The family environment on earth should be an environment of Elohiym’s peace, love, and joy. It should be on earth as it is in heaven.
This beautiful creation of a baby human has now been entrusted to the protection and care of its ‘father, mother, and family on earth. There should be an abundance of joy and acceptance of this blessing. Psalms 127:3 “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

As a newborn, the child has become accustomed to his mother’s presence. It had grown inside of the mother receiving its’ daily sustenance as its’ little body developed. Being provided with the life nectar (breast milk) that provides the baby’s nourishment for the billions of cells being produced as his body/temple develops. Its’ soul (the intellect, emotions, will) has traveled through the bloodline of its’ father’s generation, from the time of Noah.

• A father should hold and touch his newborn every opportunity that he has. This bonding time with your child is critical to the baby’s maturation process. It builds the child’s confidence and security.
~ ~ ~
• As the baby is held in your arms it will experience your presence, rhythm of your breathing and heartbeat, fragrance, reaches up to touch your hairy face, most importantly the strength of your voice, the child’s little hand will grab and hold your finger. In these engagements he comes to know his earthly father.

• Sing happy songs and special songs to your child. Most infants’ eyes will not focus until about 3-4 weeks after their birth. So, they may not be able to see you.
~ ~ ~
• They can smell, and they begin to develop their hearing around 12 weeks while they are still in their mother’s womb. If husband/fathers are diligent to commune with their child when they are in the womb of their mothers. After the child is born it will be acquainted with the father’s voice and will often respond with an angelic smile. Expressing the joy of being with you. When the child’s spirit was with Elohiym in heaven there were sounds of joy, angelic choruses. Joy gives us all strength. When you sing to your little blessings you will see the radiance of peace and contentment.

• As the Heavenly father watches over all of us, husbands/fathers are spiritually responsible for covering their family. A father who is attentive and has a relationship with Elohiym will shine with the light of the heavenly father’s glory. The wife/mother will reflect the husband who watches over her soul.

Corinthians 11:7 “For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

The husband/father and wife/mother who abide in the light of Elohiym’s glory will be able to lay a solid foundation through their life of faith. Their children will see the reality of obedience and the blessings of living in relationship with Elohim, Our Father. As they choose to abide in Elohiym they will witness life on earth as it is in Heaven and will achieve their appointed destinies. (Spiritual covering defined: being aware of what the heavenly father has spoken concerning the souls you are to nurture and care for, helping them to achieve their appointed destinies, by spiritually watching and praying)

When our son Isaiah was in his formative years, about 5 years of age, he would see and hear beyond the natural realm. i.e He would say it was going to rain, there were no clouds, shortly after he would announce the rain would begin. He would announce that Uncle Sammy was at the door, no car in the driveway, and two minutes later his uncle would be at the door. We have prayed for the grace of his prophetic gifting to be directed by the Holy Spirit, and for his protection, to keep him from any plans of the enemy to ensnare or destroy him. When he was seven, he fell off the roof of our home but was not seriously hurt. Once he removed a radiator cap and scalding radiator fluid burned his arm. He fell asleep while driving and his angel drove him home safely. A tire rod broke and he slammed into the concrete barrier but he was spared. He is the only person I have ever known that had a reoccurring dream that came to him for 10 consecutive years…it was a message to the family of Elohiym.
CONSISTENCY AND ORDER
• Determine that you will not entrust the formative years (birth to the age eight) to a childcare facility…endeavor to keep your child in the care of their trusted family members. When both parents are working forty hours plus a week and the child is not with a trusted relative or care person who holds your values and principles, you will find the child trying to navigate through value systems that are not consistent and can affect their physiological and emotional development.

• Make sure your toddlers sit at the table in their specific chairs at the designated dinner time.
~ ~ ~
• Dad should sit at one head and mom at the other head. Seats should be assigned with each child knowing their assigned seat.
~ ~ ~
• Always require your children to eat what is set before them and to receive it with thanksgiving. They should never be allowed to waste food or tell you what they don’t want to eat.

• When you don’t set order at the dining table you are feeding into your child’s self-will. This character of self-will will have long term effects on the child learning to submit and obey when the heavenly father gives a directive that they don’t want to obey. Our savior demonstrated the surrender of his will when facing the penalty for our sins and he spoke.

Matthew 26:39 The words of Jesus, “nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

• When they play with their games and toys, have them pick up and put up after they finish their play time. If you instill this principle at two and three years of age, it will continue to bear disciplinary fruit when you assign them more responsibilities.

• Never use your hand to discipline your child. Your hands are to be used for blessing and helping your family.
Proverbs 22:15, "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him.
• At two it would be good to enlist a wooden or plastic spoon that you will occasionally use for corporal discipline. Sometimes when you say no, they will be disobedient. If you tap their little behinds two or three times, they learn obedience and all you will have to do is show them the discipline rod and they will obey. You will find the journey much more pleasant. When order and discipline are established during the formative years, life is much more pleasant in the pre-adolescent and adolescent years.

• Never use your voice to yell and scream at your child. If you have to yell and scream you are not in control. Your child has won the victory. Never use word curses: i.e., you are lazy, you are just like your father, you make me sick, you are a loser.

• Use words to bless i.e., I’m grateful for you, I’m glad you persevered, thank you for being a good example, that was a wise decision.
~ ~ ~
• Do not allow your young children on the internet without close supervision. Bill Gates ( Microsoft) and Steve Jobs (Apple) founders did not allow their young children to have access to technology. They knew the negative effects technology would have on a child’s psychological and emotional development.

· Encourage them to read, rather than putting an Ipad or cell phone in their hand. Give them a reading assignment. You can also have them entertain themselves with coloring books, Legos, puzzles. Tell them to go outside and play. Always ask yourself, are these activities my child is participating in helping him to develop the gifts and graces that Elohiym has placed in him.

• Be aware of evil and degenerate electronic games; dungeons and dragons, Fortnite.

Overuse of technology can stagnant physical activity for your little one. After all, time spent with technology means time spent sitting! Even with portable devices, active indoor or outdoor playtime has largely been replaced by sedentary activity. Make sure that technology doesn’t replace your child’s opportunities to ride their tricycles, play jump rope, and have fun outside. Outside of physical health, spending a lot of time on devices can result in a reduced attention span. Research suggests that technology exposure may change the way children’s brains are wired. In using an abundance of technology, a child’s brain may adapt to frequent visual stimulation, rapid change, and have
little need for imagination. In contrast, spending more time reading, simply imagining, or participating in activities can result in your child’s brain requiring more focused attention.

PARENTING GUIDE - THE PRE-ADOLESCENT YEARS (AGES 9-12)

When the culture of your family is established on the kingdom principles of God our Father, and the members of your family have understood and applied these principles, having seen them exemplified in their parents’ lives, they have a model for the journey of life. A child learns that he is an important part of the family of God. He learns that the culture in the family was originally established by Elohiym our Father. The parents have taught the family that through the atoning blood of Jesus (Yahushua) it is possible to be reconciled to our heavenly Father. Through that reconciliation, we enter a father-son relationship with Elohiym. John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1 John 3:1-2, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

When we began our mentoring program for boys whose fathers were absent from their lives. The Heavenly Father placed in our heart to refer to these young men as sons. The word "son" infers that you belong to a family; that you are not alone as you navigate the journey of life. The men who embraced them as sons, were referred to as surrogate fathers. These two nouns were powerful. The young man had a father, and a loving father figure had a son. The surrogate father and his family embraced the son and the single parent mom was relieved that her son had a father who would be there to nurture him along the journey. Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” The Family Foundation Fund (FFF) son would learn during his years in the mentoring program. That he also was a son of God, the heavenly Father. The FFF sons enter the program in their pre-adolescent years; this was intentional. At age ten they were mature enough to be independent of their mothers, and grandmothers. It was also strategic that it was prior to their adolescent years. Where destructive habits and character traits began to take root. A son or daughter begins to experience a lot of changes physiologically in their pre-adolescence. If the foundation has been laid correctly it will be a pleasant and peaceful journey. According to gender, the parents of the same gender or close relatives (grandparents, uncles & aunts) should explain the functioning of the young person’s body/temple as they prepare to enter adolescent.

A son’s instructions, you carry the blood line in your DNA. In your scrotum there are millions of sperm/seeds in these sperm/seeds are the souls of the future members of our family. Elohiym entrust these sperm/seeds to the male. We are responsible for where they are placed. As you get older over the next two or three years. Your voice will change and your testicle chamber will get darker. You will find that your voice deepens These physical tranformations are letting you know that the sperm/seed is mature and can now fertilize a woman’s egg. As a responsible family member you should only place the sperm/seed in the uterus of your wife. Son you have a huge responsibility the future of this family will depend on your obedience to Yahuah Elolhiymand allowing him to direct you to the wife he has chosen.

A daughter’s instruction you are becoming an adult woman your breast will begin to develop and your nipples will turn darker. Every month you will experience a menstrual period. This is a time of cleansing and preparation. When Elohiym designed the woman’s body he placed two million eggs in her body for the purpose of procreation. He has appointed a husband for you, just as he appointed your father for me. The seed/sperm of your husband will someday fertilize your eggs. Be faithful to wait upon that day that Elohim has recorded in the books of heaven. He knows who you will marry, when you will marry, and when you will bring forth children into the earth.

• Did your child learn the protocol of respect during the formative years: i.e. please and thank you, respect of elders; Yes mam, no mam, yes sir, no sir
• Did they learn to ask permission to engage in various activities or were they given Carte Blanc to do whatever they wanted?

• we would like to go shopping, can we participate in the ball game,

• they know the voice of the Lord and the importance of obeying

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF PRE-ADOLENSCENCE
Below are a list of pre-adolescent souls who had a purpose and destiny to fulfill:
1. Ishmael – sent away with his mother and becomes a wild man and his hand was against every man. Genesis 16:12

Real – Time
8. I was ministering to a young woman in Texas and the Holy Spirit revealed she had been traumatized at age nine. Her teenage brother had raped her and took a gun and shot himself in the head and fell dead across her body…after this trauma her life was a downward spiral. Drugs , prostitution, attempted suicide… by the power of the Holy Spirit she received freedom.
In these examples we can see the importance of this time of life. David was a lad when he was anointed to be king… as a pre-adolescent he killed Goliath the champion of the philistine army. He was about the age of thirty when he began to reign as the king over Israel. Yahusha (Jesus) was about the age of 12 when he acknowledges the purpose and for which he was sent into the earth. He was about 30 when he was baptized in the Jordan by John and began to fulfill what was written in the books. In these examples we see why it is critical that we spiritually cover our progeny. The enemy, Satan, knows their vulnerability at this stage of life, as fathers we are to be discerning and wise.

TRAPS OF THE ENEMY
Matthew 18:3, “And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” We are responsible for teaching our children the ways of the kingdom. If we seek his kingdom and righteousness first, everything else will come into alignment.

You may not have understood when Elohiym created his son Adam. He created him in His image(spirit) and His likeness (love) that Adam was divinely perfect. It may be foreign to our natural mind that when Elohiym fashioned Adam’s body out of the dust of the ground he was creating a physical garment of flesh that would be clothing for Adam’s spirit and soul. This garment of flesh (Adam’s body/temple) was fearfully and wonderfully made. It was designed and engineered by Elohiym, the Most High, to be His temple and from within this body/temple he would commune and be present with his family, here on earth.

When he was fashioning Adam’s body out of the dust of the ground, his wisdom, creativity and love were placed in every cell of man’s body/temple. The atmosphere was luminous with light and anticipation as he breathed into Adam’s body his soul and his spirit... and life on Earth began! John 14:23, “Jesus answered and said unto him, 'If a man love me, he will keep my words and my Father will love him and we will come unto him and make our abode with him.'”

DAVID, THE WARRIOR-KING
Fast Forward 3000 years to David, the son of Jesse
David who was of the family/Tribe of Judah, his great grandfather was Boaz, his grandfather Obed, his father was Jesse. David was the descendant of a family that loved and reverenced Elohiym. When David was a lad, he was anointed to be king over the nation of Israel by the prophet Samuel and blessed with the grace of a warrior. He made the following statement in the book of Psalms 139:14 "I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well." David understood as an adolescent that he was created by Elohiym, and he knew the grace of Elohiym. With the strength of that grace that had come through the generations of his forefathers, he was able to kill a bear and a lion and protect his father’s sheep. He later, as an adolescent, killed the giant of the Philistine Goliath with a sling shot and a stone. David was an obedient adolescent following the instructions of his father Jesse and submitting to the prophet Samuel’s commissioning over his life.
However, there was spiritual contamination in David’s lineage from ten generations prior that was not addressed and spiritually cleansed. No one in David’s lineage had ever dealt with the transgressions of his grandfather ten generations before him. Judah, his grandfather, had an incestuous relationship with his daughter-in-law Tamar (who had deceived her father-in-law (Genesis 38). David, as king, has an adulteress relationship with Bethsheba and tries to deceive her husband Uriah after he finds out she is with child. When Uriah does not fall for the deception, David has him put in the front of the battle to be killed (2 Samuel 11). David’s son Amnon rapes his sister Tamar. David’s son Absalom kills Amnon and later deceives the people of Israel to follow him and has sexual exploits with David’s concubines (read 2 Samuel 15 for understanding). Absalom sins were murder, deception, sexual depravity, treachery and pride. He submitted to no one’s authority and his end was death. You may be asking yourself: "How does this relate to Adolescence?" When Elohiym created man, he gave man two minds: The mind of the spirit and the mind of the soul. Since Elohiym (God) is all knowing (omniscient), he knew if Adam lived by the mind of the spirit that he would live eternally and flourish. Elohiym the father, and Adam the son were one. They would rule and reign in the fullness of joy! Light and love would fill the heavens and the earth. The presence and peace on Earth would be as it is in Heaven.
He placed Adam in the garden paradise of Eden in the full capacity of ruler, king, and priest on the earth. He gave Adam dominion and entrusted him with the souls of mankind placing them in the treasury pouch (the Scrotum), right beneath the rod (male organ) of the body/temple. Elohiym knew he must give his son the ability to choose. In the fullness of joy there is liberty and total freedom to obey and follow “Our Father/Elohiym” or be disobedient and self-willed. He gave his son Adam four mandates:
- Be Fruitful and multiply.
- Replenish the earth.
- Subdue it.
- Have dominion over the fish of the sea, fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.
There was only one restriction, Genesis 2:16-17 “And the Lord God commanded the man saying, 'Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." The ability to choose, obedience, the mind of the spirit, or the reasoning of the mind of the soul was presented to the father of all of mankind, and he chose reasoning. These two minds are the central theme in the Adolescent years. This is the time in your child’s life that all the pre-steps hopefully are in place:
- The cleansing of your bloodline – through repentance
- The father’s presence and communing as the baby grew in the mother’s womb.
- The formative years: family environment, order, structure
- The pre-adolescent years; understanding the kingdom of Elohiym and Him being our father and we, his sons.
When these foundational pillars are in place the season of Adolescence is one of exponential maturation in every part of a child’s life journey. If any of the above pillars have not been a reality, fathers should start with the acknowledgment of our missteps as fathers. This is not to say that the absence of fathering in our respective bloodlines did not affect who we became. The situations and circumstances of our generational history do affect who we become. For most fathers the issue is understanding. In the story of David, Judah’s sins 10 generations prior where still affecting the bloodline. David was doing pretty well up until the time of maturity. Keep in mind that Yahusha (Jesus) had not come and shed the atoning blood during the time of David’s life. We can gain knowledge and wisdom about effectually fathering. However without the understanding that fathering is both spiritual and natural. We cannot accomplish fathering as it was intended from the beginning of time. The goal for every husband/ father should be for their families to live in peace and joy accomplishing their individual and corporate destinies. Understanding, allows fathers to implement life changing principles in the care of their family. These principles will produce wonderful fruit on the family tree.
When we humble ourselves and repent acknowledging our trespasses and those of the generations that were before us; Elohiym is faithful to redeem, reconcile and restore. Isaiah 57:15b “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." Do not allow the culture to dictate directives to your Adolescent child. Adolescence identifies the ages between childhood (12) and adulthood (20).
